Facilitating Transformation in the Church and Society

Background:

• Social issues such as violence, poverty, suicide, abortion, decrease in birth rate etc.

• Religious fundamentalism, corruption, political instability etc.

• Environmental threats, globalization, emigration to other cities, states and countries etc

• Changing faith life in the Church

• Changing trends in religious vocations

• Changing attitudes of the priests, religious and laymen etc.

Objectives:

• Connect structures, personnel and machinery for efficiency

• Learn from concrete life situations of people

• Initiate social analysis to create awareness

• Provide easy, inexpensive and complete access to Information

Methodology:

• Conduct surveys, interviews and studies to collect data on various socio-political and religious trends in Kerala and how they affect the Church and Christian community

• Analyze the data and interpret them to give lead on various issues affecting the Kerala Church and Society.

• Establish a databank in order to assist research studies on Kerala Church and Society.
